We are a couture house based in Surat—a city where threads and textiles have held stories for centuries. When Sunia Prajapat opened the doors to our atelier in 2022, the intention was never simply to produce garments. It was an act of preserving intimacy in fashion. We wanted to bring back the era where clothes were not bought off a rack, but commissioned, discussed, and crafted for one specific person.

The Shoolpani aesthetic is quiet but deliberate. We draw heavily from the rich, ancient archives of Indian craftsmanship, yet edit those traditions for a modern, discerning eye. Whether it is an architecturally draped saree, a heavy bridal lehenga, or a contemporary silhouette, our design language is rooted in uncompromising elegance.

Because true luxury takes time, we do not believe in standard sizing or seasonal excess. Every piece that leaves our studio is entirely made-to-order. The journey of a Shoolpani garment begins with a dialogue and relies entirely on the hands of our master artisans. From the careful selection of raw silk to the final, painstaking stitch of zardozi, the process is engineered around the individual wearing it.

This bespoke philosophy is also our commitment to conscious craft. By producing only what is commissioned, we reject the waste of mass production. We work alongside local karigars whose families have practiced these techniques for generations, ensuring their art is given the time it demands and the respect it deserves.
