Cream Silk Gown — Printed Yoke with Hand Embroidery

The yoke carries a printed floral jaal, an ogee lattice of stylised blooms in sage, mustard, oxblood and lilac, and then the hand goes back over it: thread outlining each petal, French knots at the flower centres, bead and sequin set into the print so the surface lifts where the colour already sits. It is embroidery working with a print rather than replacing it, which is the harder way to do it and the reason the yoke reads as painted rather than stitched. Sleeveless, scooped, cut long to the hip before the skirt releases.
