Earthy Brown Silk Co-ord Set — Fabric Manipulation Bustier with Chanderi Mukesh Shrug

Earthy brown, held across three fabrics that behave differently — dola silk with weight for the trousers and bustier, pure chanderi sheer and light for the shrug that falls over them.

The bustier is the piece. No embroidery on it at all: the fabric itself is knotted into hundreds of small covered balls, each one anchored into a gathered star beneath, so the surface rises into a dense tonal field in exactly the colour of everything around it. Fine straps, V neckline, cropped short. The trousers are pleated and cut wide with pockets set into the side seams, and the shrug runs floor-length with a collar and full sleeves, scattered through with fine badla so it catches only when it moves.
